Harry Redknapp denies being 'disrespectful' to Roy Hodgson

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp denies allegations that he made disrespectful remarks about Roy Hodgson in his autobiography.

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has dismissed the notion that he was "disrespectful" to England manager Roy Hodgson in his autobiography.

Redknapp was slammed by former FA chairman David Bernstein for criticising the recruitment process for the England job after learning that he had missed out on the post.

"No-one was disrespectful to Roy or anybody else," BBC Sport quotes Redknapp as saying. "What effect will that have on the England team? Not the slightest.

"I'm the biggest England fan of all and I think they will win the games this week, and Roy has done a excellent job. I have absolutely no problems with Roy Hodgson at all."

England take on Montenegro at Wembley Stadium this Friday in Group H of the World Cup qualifiers.
