Report: Sergio Garcia rejects lucrative Chinese offer

A report claims that Espanyol forward Sergio Garcia has rejected a lucrative offer from Chinese second division team Hebei Zhongji.

Espanyol captain Sergio Garcia has reportedly rejected an extremely lucrative offer to join Chinese second division team Hebei Zhongji.

The Chinese side are currently managed by Radomir Antic, who has formerly been in charge at Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

It is understood that Antic directed the powers-that-be to make a move for the 31-year-old, which would have seen him net around £15m over two seasons.

However, according to Inside Spanish Football, Garcia has rejected the offer and insisted that he will not depart Espanyol this summer.

The forward, who has gained two caps for Spain, started his career with Barcelona, but has been with Espanyol since 2010.
