Joe Ledley: 'I hope Chris Coleman remains with Wales'

Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley admits he is hoping that Wales manager Chris Coleman does not take the vacant managerial role at Crystal Palace.

Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley has admitted he is not surprised that Wales manager Chris Coleman has been linked with Crystal Palace.

The Eagles are looking for a replacement for departed boss Ian Holloway, but while he isn't shocked that Coleman is one of the favourites for the role, Ledley has revealed that he is keen for his current boss to remain with the national team.

The 26-year-old told BBC Radio Wales Sport: "Hopefully we can keep him with Wales and hopefully we can move forward together.

"It's not surprising with him being linked with Crystal Palace. He's done a good job.

"It obviously took a while but it was a fantastic end to the group and hopefully we can keep him."

Coleman has won just four of his 15 games in charge of Wales.
