Mesut Ozil's Arsenal debut delayed due to illness?

Mesut Ozil could reportedly be forced to wait to make his Arsenal debut after complaining of an illness during training.

New Arsenal signing Mesut Ozil may have to wait to make his debut for the club following reports of illness.

The German international midfielder was initially thought to be thrown into the fold for tomorrow's Premier League encounter against Sunderland following his £42.5m move from Real Madrid on transfer deadline day.

However, Ozil could miss out on his debut after complaining of an illness during today's training session, according to The Mirror.

Reports have claimed that the midfielder may have picked up the bug while on international duty with Germany as compatriot Per Mertesacker is said to be suffering with the same problem.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is already without Tomas Rosicky, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mikel Arteta in midfield.
