Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has insisted that the club "don't care" about Luis Suarez's lack of goals this season.
The Uruguay international has scored just once for the Catalan club since returning from a four-month suspension at the end of October, while he is still waiting for his first league goal.
However, Zubizarreta has said that the former Liverpool forward is still having a strong influence on the team.
"We don't care [that Suarez hasn't scored in the league yet]. He has a job not only to score goals," he told Canal+.
"He creates spaces which Neymar, Leo (Lionel Messi) or any other forward can exploit. At the moment, he's assisting goals.
"How many goals and joys has he given us now ... he seems to have no desire to stop and enjoys his football. Not only does he score but also contributes to the team's play. Football and us are lucky to have him."
Barca face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday.
