Radamel Falcao: 'I'm happy at Atletico Madrid'

Chelsea and Manchester City target Radamel Falcao says that he is happy playing his football at Atletico Madrid.

Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao has dashed Chelsea's and Manchester City's hopes of signing him by claiming that he is happy where he is.

The Colombian has been in scintillating form so far this season having scored 16 goals in 14 La Liga matches, including five against Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday.

The Premier League duo, along with Real Madrid, were all prepared to battle it out to sign the former Porto forward next month, but Falcao insists that he is enjoying life at Atletico.

"I am enjoying myself here," Falcao told AS. "I have a three-year contract with Atletico.

"I dreamed of doing this, but I didn't know if I could. It has exceeded my expectations.

"I'm very comfortable here. It also helps a lot that we speak the same language. The Spanish, like Latinos, are very happy and I am grateful I can live here."

Falcao joined Atletico from Porto in 2011.
