Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes reveals that he used to like watching Frank Lampard, who is said to be keen on signing the Brazilian for Chelsea.

Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes has hinted that he would be happy to play under Frank Lampard at Chelsea.

Having impressed for the French outfit this season, the centre-back is being linked with a number of Premier League sides, including the Blues.

While addressing speculation regarding his future, the 22-year-old has revealed that he 'admired' the Englishman during his playing days.

Speaking to UOL, Gabriel said: "He was a great player without a doubt. He is one of those players that I admired on the small screen, but we have to be calm with all this.

"It is early and I renewed my contract with Lille until 2023. The focus now is to return to play and end the season at a high level, and qualifying Lille for the 2020-21 Champions League."

Gabriel came up against Chelsea during two Champions League fixtures earlier this season.
