Report: Chelsea scout watches Marseille duo

Chelsea scout Guy Hillion reportedly attends the Ligue 1 clash between AS Monaco and Marseille to cast his eye over midfield duo Florian Thauvin and Giannelli Imbula.

Chelsea scout Guy Hillion attended the Ligue 1 clash between AS Monaco and Marseille on Sunday evening.

The Blues spy had his eyes on Marseille midfield duo Florian Thauvin and Giannelli Imbula, according to Inside Futbol.

Only topscorer Andre-Pierre Gignac has netted more goals for Marseille than 21-year-old Thauvin this season.

Thauvin has scored five goals in 17 league matches. He has also hit five in four appearances for France at Under-21 level.

Belgium-born Imbula, also 21, is a more defensive-minded player, but has still managed to net once in 18 Ligue 1 outings this term.

Neither player was on top form in front of Hillion though, as Monaco recorded a 2-0 win at Stade Louis II.
