England qualify for UEFA European Under-17 Championship

England claim a 3-1 victory over Slovenia at the Proact Stadium to reach the UEFA European Under-17 Championship.

England have booked their spot in this year's UEFA European Under-17 Championship by beating Slovenia 3-1 at the Proact Stadium this evening.

Reece Oxford, Nathan Holland and an own goal from Matija Rom gave the hosts a three-goal lead at the break, before Jan Mlakar scored a consolation for the Slovenians in the second half.

The result was enough to send England through at the top of Group Six in the elite round of qualifying, with their final game against Romania to come on Thursday.

The finals of the Championship will take place during May in Bulgaria.
