Preview: Greece vs. Northern Ireland

Sports Mole previews Northern Ireland's trip to Greece on Tuesday as Michael O'Neill's men bid to continue their 100% start to Euro 2016 qualification.

Northern Ireland will attempt to continue their promising start to their Euro 2016 qualification campaign when they travel to Greece on Tuesday evening.

Michael O'Neill's side have won both of their Group F fixtures thus far, with their latest victory arriving against the Faroe Islands on Saturday evening.

They next travel to Romania in November and a positive result against Greece would hand the nation serious hopes of making the European Championships for the first time.

Greece, meanwhile, have collected just one point from their first two matches, with defeat against Romania and a draw with Finland leaving them playing catch-up at this early stage.

Greece famously won the competition in 2004, while they reached the group stages of the last tournament in 2012. It also proved to be a productive summer for the nation, who reached the last-16 stage of the World Cup.

These two countries have met on five previous occasions, with Greece winning four times to Northern Ireland's one. All three of the fixtures in Greece, meanwhile, ended in home wins.

Greece have no fresh injury concerns from their draw with Finland last time out, but both Kostas Mitroglou and Giorgos Samaras will be hopeful of partnering Stefanos Athanasiadis in the final third.

A vastly experienced back four, meanwhile, will include the likes of Kostas Manolas, Vasilis Torosidis and Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

Northern Ireland, meanwhile, also came through their last match without any serious injury problems. As a result, few, if any changes are expected.

Jamie Ward will continue in attack with Kyle Lafferty, while Oliver Norwood and skipper Steven Davis will start in midfield for the visitors.
