Roberto Mancini backs Leicester City for title

Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini backs Leicester City to win the Premier League title this season.

Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has backed Leicester City to claim the Premier League title this season.

The Italian, now in charge at Inter Milan, enjoyed a loan stint with the Foxes as a player back in 2001 and says that he hopes his former club can achieve an "incredible" feat.

"If I could only choose one it would be Leicester," Mancini told BBC Sport. "[Claudio] Ranieri is a good man, he knows football very well.

"For a team like Leicester to win the Premier League against the biggest teams like Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, it would be incredible."

Leicester sit five points clear at the summit with eight games of the season to play.
