Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino's record vs. Everton

Sports Mole looks at Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino's goalscoring record against Everton ahead of Sunday's Merseyside derby in the Premier League.

Liverpool play host to Everton in the Merseyside derby on Sunday afternoon looking to maintain their advantage over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League standings.

Jurgen Klopp's side have endured an indifferent few weeks with City having closed the gap from seven points to one, but Liverpool showcased their attacking threat in a 5-0 triumph over Watford on Wednesday night.

Roberto Firmino played no part of that game due to an ankle injury, but the Brazilian is expected to return to the starting lineup at the weekend.

Ahead of this weekend's meeting, Sports Mole assesses how Firmino has fared in his previous games against Liverpool's neighbours.

Klopp will be desperate to have one of his key men available against Everton, but the forward possesses a poor record against Sunday's opponents.

Just one assist has come from seven outings - back in 2017 - and Firmino is yet to score a single goal versus Liverpool's nearest rivals.

Firmino is yet to suffer defeat against Everton with five wins and two draws coming in all competitions, but there will be a desire to break his personal duck on Sunday afternoon.
