Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may reportedly make his return to action for the club's Under-23s side later this week.
The England international has spent almost a year on the sidelines with a knee ligament injury sustained in last season's Champions League semi-final tie with Roma.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has been slowly eased back over the past few weeks, having returned to first-team training in February, and BBC Sport suggests that a playing comeback could be just days away.
Liverpool want the 25-year-old to play a part in the Under-23s' clash with their Derby counterparts on Friday, but they will hold off from making a final decision until later in the week.
Signed in a £35m deal from Arsenal in August 2017, Oxlade-Chamberlain went on to make 39 appearances for the Reds in the Premier League and Champions League before being struck down by injury.
