Brendan Rodgers includes both Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho in his side to face Swansea City.

Both of Liverpool's January signings have been included in the starting lineup for this afternoon's Premier League clash against Swansea City.

Daniel Sturridge has returned to the team following a recent muscular injury, while former Inter Milan midfielder Philippe Coutinho will make his first start for the Reds.

Meanwhile, with next weekend's League Cup final in mind, Swansea manager Michael Laudrup has made a number of alterations to his team.

Leading goalscorer Michu has not been named in the lineup, nor has centre-back Ashley Williams.

Liverpool: Reina; Johnson, Agger, Carragher, Enrique; Lucas, Gerrard, Coutinho; Downing, Sturridge, Suarez

Swansea: Vorm; Tiendali, Monk, Bartley, Davies; Britton, De Guzman, Agustein, Hernandez, Lamah; Schecter
