Liverpool are reportedly yet to make 'a concrete move' for Leicester City's Youri Tielemans.
The 24-year-old was in strong form for the Foxes during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring nine times and contributing six assists in 51 appearances in all competitions.
Liverpool are believed to have identified the Belgium international as the ideal player to replace Georginio Wijnaldum, who has recently joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
There have been suggestions that the Reds have contacted Leicester over a move, but according to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur, there has not been an official bid from the Merseyside giants.
Terreur, meanwhile, has said that Tielemans will not make a decision on his future at club level until after this summer's European Championship.
The midfielder made a strong impression at the King Power Stadium while on loan from Monaco before completing a permanent move to the FA Cup holders in July 2019.
