Lyon come from behind to win

Lyon come from behind to defeat Nantes 3-1 in their Ligue 1 encounter.

Goals from Bafetimbi Gomis, Clement Grenier and Jimmy Briand ensured that Lyon triumphed 3-1 over Nantes in Ligue 1.

Both sides had goals ruled out in the first half. Nantes were the first team to have their celebrations cut short after Luka Dordevic thought that he had given them a fourth-minute lead.

Gomis slotted the ball beyond Remy Riou in the 20th minute, but the flag had already been raised for offside.

Nantes did take the lead just four minutes later, though, when Jordan Veretout guided his effort past Anthony Lopes.

Gomis cancelled out the opener in the 27th minute when he muscled his way through the defence before rifling a shot into the roof of the net.

Clement Grenier put Lyon ahead with a delicate free kick in the 55th minute, and Jimmy Briand wrapped up the victory with a back-heel flick from a corner.
