Lyon have reportedly spoken to Mathieu Valbuena's agent about the possibility of the midfielder returning to Ligue 1.
The French international joined Dynamo Moscow last season after spending eight years at Marseille.
However, L'Equipe claims that Valbuena is keen to leave the Russian outfit after they failed to secure European football for the forthcoming campaign.
It is thought that OL have approached his agent, Jean Pierre Barnes, over a potential deal for the 30-year-old.
Valbuena has played 48 times for France.
