David de Gea 'feels very loved by Manchester United'

Reported Real Madrid target David de Gea hints that he will remain at Manchester United by insisting that speculation over his future cannot be taken seriously.

Goalkeeper David de Gea has hinted that he will remain at Manchester United by insisting that media speculation about his future cannot be taken seriously.

The £19m signing from Atletico Madrid has developed into one of United's most reliable performers after overcoming a shaky start to his Old Trafford career.

Reports have claimed that the Red Devils are worried about losing the 24-year-old, who has yet to agree a new contract and has been linked with Real Madrid, but De Gea has insisted that he is focused on United - where he feels "wanted" and "loved".

He told reporters: "In Manchester I feel wanted. If you took seriously what is written about you, you'd almost think you're going to a thousand clubs.

"So the best you can do is pay attention to where you are. I feel very loved by Man United."

The Spaniard's reluctance to leave United has reportedly seen Madrid prioritise Tottenham Hotspur stopper Hugo Lloris in their search for a long-term replacement for Iker Casillas.
