United have sent a delegation to Madrid to negotiate with Atleti officials over the availability of the talented Spaniard, according to Goal.com.
Manager David Moyes has identified the 21-year-old as the player who can help add some much-needed creativity to his midfield ranks, and the group has been dispatched to the Spanish capital to discuss the possibility of a transfer.
