Real Madrid are planning a bid for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, according to reports.
The 23-year-old was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2011 as a long-term successor to Edwin van der Sar, and has overcome a bumpy start to make 139 appearances for the Red Devils.
According to the Daily Express, Los Merengues manager Carlo Ancelotti has earmarked the former Atletico Madrid stopper to replace Iker Casillas and challenge new signing Keylor Navas between the Bernabeu sticks.
De Gea, who considered leaving Old Trafford after his first season at the club, has kept two clean sheets in seven Premier League outings so far this term.
