Ligue 1's bottom side Nancy have registered a 1-0 win over Nice at Stade Marcel Picot this afternoon.
The hosts were on the attack early on, Thomas Ayasse forcing a save from David Ospina before Florent Zitte took a shot from the edge of the box that went just wide.
Lossemy Karaboue crossed the ball to Djamel Bakar 23 minutes in and the winger fired the ball home at the second time of asking, having seen his initial effort blocked by the Nice keeper.
Benjamin Moukandjo had a chance to double the hosts' advantage just before the break, but his header went straight to Ospina.
Nice made two changes at half time as they looked to find their way back into the match, but it was Nancy who continued to create the better of the chances, with Thomas Mangini taking two shots within five minutes of the restart.
Damien Gregorini had to make his first save of the game in the 72nd minute, when Didier Digard tried to head in an equaliser for the visitors, but the Nancy stopper was ready to stop the ball.
Alexy Bosetti and Eric Bautheac both had good chances late on to level for Nice, but neither could get the better of Gregorini.
Moukandjo picked up the ball deep into stoppage time and fired it in from the edge of the penalty area, but his effort was ruled out for offside.
Despite the win, Nancy remain bottom of the Ligue 1 table, while Nice stay fifth.
