Preview: Paris Saint-Germain vs. Ajax

Sports Mole looks ahead to the Group F Champions League match between French champions Paris Saint-Germain and Dutch giants Ajax.

Paris Saint-Germain will ensure that they progress to the knockout stage of the Champions League as Group F winners if they beat Ajax on Tuesday evening.

The French champions are already assured of a place in the last 16, with 10 points from their first four matches, with their only draw coming from their previous meeting with the Dutch side.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has missed action with a heel injury recently, played the full 90 minutes in the Ligue 1 win over Metz on Friday, and is likely to be keen to feature against his former club.

Blaise Matuidi also played in that game, despite missing the recent internationals to undergo hand surgery, while David Luiz came through a friendly with Brazil unscathed.

Ajax are unable to make the knockout stages, but can all but secure a Europa League spot with a win in this match.

The Dutch champions will be without Joel Veltman, who is serving a suspension following a red card last time out, while Anwar El Ghazi and Niklas Moisander are just a booking away from missing the final group game.

The visitors have reported no fresh injuries over the last week, but Viktor Fischer remains sidelined with a long-term hamstring problem.

Ajax are still to record a win in this competition this season, but have been in strong form domestically - winning eight of their last nine Eredivisie contests.
