Team News: Edinson Cavani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic start for Paris Saint-Germain against Rennes

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani both start in PSG's attack for their Ligue 1 clash with Rennes, while there are also recalls for Yohan Cabaye and Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Laurent Blanc has selected both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani in his starting XI for Paris Saint-Germain's Ligue 1 clash with Rennes this evening.

The PSG boss has been forced to deny rumours of a rift between his two star players and has encouraged them to learn to work together on the pitch.

Cavani will have to settle for a place on the wing in a home side showing four changes for the match at Parc des Princes, where the Parisians remain unbeaten this season.

Yohan Cabaye is handed a rare start in place of the suspended Thiago Motta, while Adrien Rabiot, Lucas Digne and Ezequiel Lavezzi come in for Blaise Matuidi, Marco Verratti and Maxwell.

Rennes have seven-goal top scorer Paul-Georges Ntep back available and so Ola Toivonen drops to the bench. There are also recalls for Abdoulaye Doucoure, Steven Moreira and Vincent Pajot following the 4-1 defeat to Caen.

Victory tonight will take PSG to within one point of league leaders Lyon. Three points could see Rennes climb three places to seventh.
