Real Madrid confirm Dani Carvajal injury

Real Madrid confirm that Dani Carvajal suffered a thigh problem during the team's 2-0 win over Eibar in La Liga at the weekend.

Real Madrid have revealed that Dani Carvajal suffered "a muscle injury on his left thigh" during the team's 2-0 win over Eibar at the weekend.

It has been a frustrating start to the season for the Spaniard, with a host of injury problems harming his minutes on the field.

The right-back is now facing another spell on the sidelines after picking up a muscular injury in the La Liga clash on Sunday, which Real Madrid won courtesy of goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

"Following the tests carried out on Dani Carvajal today in the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, the player has been diagnosed with a muscle injury on his left thigh. His condition will be evaluated," read a statement on the club's official website.

Carvajal has only started six league games for Real Madrid this season and also missed out on a spot in the Spain squad earlier this month due to injury.
