Neil Taylor has admitted that he made a mistake during Swansea City's 3-1 defeat to Everton in the FA Cup this afternoon.
The defender attempted a back-pass to goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel while the sides were level at 1-1, but it was intercepted by Steven Naismith for the Toffees' second goal of the game.
Taylor, who was the team's captain for the match, told the club's official website: "I thought we played well today and the game was very tight until, I have to say, my mistake.
"I must hold my hand up and say it was my error that was the turning point of the game. If I was playing in a different team then maybe that doesn't happen because I'd boot the ball into touch.
"It was frustrating because I thought we created chances and could have gone on and won the match. But they took full advantage of that error and we were fighting to get back into the game."
The result leaves Everton with a quarter-final tie against Arsenal.
