Andy Williams out for season

A serious knee injury is expected to keep Swindon Town striker Andy Williams out of action for the remainder of the season.

Swindon Town striker Andy Williams is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a serious knee injury.

The 27-year-old, who picked up the cruciate knee ligament injury in training, joined Yeovil Town on a season-long loan in August, but has since returned to his parent club.

Yeovil boss Gary Johnson told the Western Gazette: "He's definitely out for the rest of the season and maybe longer. I hate that when I see a young footballer with that type of injury because it's quite a long haul to get back."

Williams started his career with Hereford United, before moving to Bristol Rovers in 2007.
