Wayne Hennessey open to second loan move

Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey admits that he would be open to a second loan move away from Molineux if he fails to break into Kenny Jackett's starting lineup.

Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey has revealed that his primary ambition this season is to play first-team football.

Hennessey has returned to Molineux after a positive loan spell with Yeovil Town, but the Wales international has admitted that he would consider leaving the League One club for a second time if he can't edge ahead of Carl Ikeme in the pecking order at Wolves.

The 26-year-old told the Birmingham Mail: "It's a difficult situation for me now. Going back to Wolves, I'll speak to Kenny and if things don't go well, I'll look to go out on loan and see what happens in January.

"Football is a strange game like that. Obviously Wolves are in League One but I just need to be playing for myself and for Wales. The [Wales] gaffer, Chris Coleman, has told me I need to be playing, so that's wherever it is.

"For standards, I'd like to play at as high a level as possible, so if things don't happen at Wolves, I'd look to go into the Championship."

Hennessey was absent for over a year after suffering a serious knee injury in April 2012.
