AC Milan owner and former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi dismisses reports that he could be close to selling the historic club.

AC Milan owner and former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has dismissed reports that he could be close to selling the historic club.

The club have found it tough going in Serie A this campaign, with rumours linking the owner with the sale of its holding company, but Berlusconi has now moved to deny the claims.

"I don't want to sell AC Milan, I can reassure Milan fans," the 77-year-old told reporters in the Italian press, according to Goal.com

The Rossoneri currently hold 10th position in the league table, having collected only 35 points so far this season.
