FA chairman Greg Dyke responds to hypocrisy claims over England vision

FA chairman Greg Dyke responds to claims of hypocrisy following yesterday's speech where he outlined his vision for English football.

Football Association chairman Greg Dyke has claimed that he has no problem with foreign managers following claims of hypocrisy.

Dyke made his first address as chairman yesterday, claiming that the foreign contingent in the Premier League is stifling the development of the English national team.

Following his speech, Dyke was accused of hypocrisy due to his stints as director at Manchester United and his time as chairman of Brentford, where he hired a German coach.

"When I was a director of Manchester United, I was lucky I was there when virtually half the first team played in the youth team," Dyke told Sky Sports News.

"I'm not against foreign managers, but if you've got a league which is largely foreign owned, has foreign managers and mainly foreign players, you've got an issue for English football."

Meanwhile, the England senior team are preparing to take on Moldova in a World Cup qualifier on Friday.
