Half-Time Report: Bondz N'Gala heads Portsmouth in front against Bury

Bondz N'Gala's third goal of the season gives Portsmouth a narrow half-time lead over Bury at Fratton Park.

Bondz N'Gala's third goal of the season has given Portsmouth a 1-0 half-time lead over Bury at Fratton Park.

The former West Ham United defender broke the deadlock on four minutes, heading home from Ricky Holmes's outswinging corner.

N'Gala was then involved at the other end, as Danny Hylton went down in the penalty area under a strong challenge from the centre-half.

Referee Carl Berry did not penalise N'Gala on that occasion, but the goalscorer did receive a yellow card moments later following a late challenge on Hylton in a less dangerous area of the field.

Bury have not won in their last seven matches in all competitions.
