The midfielder joined West Ham on a permanent basis on deadline day, but is yet to make an appearance this season due to an ankle injury.
"I'm hopeful that Alex Song will be fit to play by the end of October," Gold tweeted.
The 28-year-old made 31 appearances for West Ham last season while on loan from Barcelona.
