Rumoured Arsenal and Everton target Arda Turan is to leave Barcelona for Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir later this week.

Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir hope to finalise a deal for Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan in the coming days.

The 30-year-old was told by boss Ernesto Valverde to seek a new side this month, having failed to make a senior competitive appearance in 2017-18.

Despite strong rumoured interest from the likes of Arsenal, Everton and "several" other clubs across the continent, Basaksehir have all but won the race for Turan's signature.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday afternoon, manager Abdullah Avci said: "The transfer of Arda will be announced on Thursday or Friday. It hasn't been an easy transfer; Arda has been our goal for many years and I have to thank the president for this signing."

Turan was used more regularly in Luis Enrique's final campaign at Camp Nou, featuring 18 times in La Liga - 14 of those starts - and five times in the Champions League.
