Lyon scored twice in second-half stoppage time to record a comeback victory over Bordeaux in Ligue 1 this evening, winning 2-1 at the Stade Jacques Chaban-Delmas.
The hosts made a perfect start to the match when they took the lead after just eight minutes when Henri Saivet fired past Anthony Lopes in the Lyon goal.
Bordeaux looked to be edging to a valuable victory that would lift them up into sixth as they kept the visitors at bay for the rest of the first half and much of the second.
However, there was no shortage of late drama as Lyon grabbed a dramatic equaliser in the 91st minute courtesy of Cameroonian defender Henri Bedimo.
The visitors then completed a sensational turnaround, clinching victory from the jaws of defeat with a winner in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time courtesy of Corentin Tolisso's strike.
The result lifts Lyon up to fifth in the Ligue 1 table, while Bordeaux remain in eighth.
