Sylvan Ebanks-Blake training with Bradford City

Former Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is given permission to train with League One side Bradford City.

Bradford City manager Phil Parkinson believes that the opportunity to allow Sylvan Ebanks-Blake to train with the club was "too good to turn down".

Ebanks-Blake has been without a club since departing Ipswich Town earlier this year, but the striker, who netted 64 goals in 193 appearances during a six-season spell with Wolverhampton Wanderers, has been given handed a chance to impress at the Bantams, who are currently in 12th spot in League One.

Parkinson is quoted by the Yorkshire Post as saying: "We're just having a look at him to see what his fitness levels are like and if he fits in with our group of players.

"If a good striker comes available, it's worth looking at him. He's got pedigree but he's not played for a while and he needs games under his belt. But the opportunity to look at him was too good to turn down."

The 28-year-old had previously been training with Championship outfit Brentford.
