Bradford City have signed former Sunderland midfielder Billy Knott on a free transfer.
The 21-year-old joins the League One side on a two-year deal, with the option to extend it for a further year.
"When you see the stadium and hear manager Phil Parkinson's plans to take the club forward you can't really turn that down," Knott is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
Knott enjoyed a successful four-month loan spell at Port Vale last season, scoring two goals for the club.
The midfielder joined Sunderland in 2011 from Chelsea, but has only made one appearance for the Black Cats.
