Chelsea 'set for Thiago Maia talks'

Chelsea are reportedly set for talks over a possible £15m move for Santos midfielder Thiago Maia, who is currently playing for Brazil at the Olympic Games.

Chelsea are reportedly in talks with Santos over a possible £15m move for midfielder Thiago Maia.

The 19-year-old has drawn the attention of a number of Europe's top clubs this summer, with French champions Paris Saint-Germain also understood to be interested.

Maia is currently with Brazil at the Olympic Games in Rio, and any official bid from Chelsea is likely to take place after that tournament has finished.

However, the Evening Standard reports that Santos president Modesto Roma has arrived in London to undergo preliminary talks over a potential move for the youngster.

Maia has made 70 appearances during his three years in the Santos senior team.
