Chelsea 'to make £20m move for Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali'

Brescia playmaker Sandro Tonali is a rumoured £20m target for Chelsea, who could face competition from a number of Italian clubs.

Chelsea intend to push ahead with plans to sign in-demand teenage midfielder Sandro Tonali from Brescia, according to a report.

The Blues were first linked with the 18-year-old earlier this month following his impressive start to the season in Serie B.

Amid growing interest from Juventus, Roma, AC Milan and Inter Milan in Tonali's native Italy, The Sun suggests that Chelsea are prepared to go as high as £20m to land the teenager.

Chelsea reportedly sent scouts to watch Tonali up close earlier this week and now hope to blow the Italian quartet out of the water with their bid.

Maurizio Sarri is said to have attempted to sign the Italy Under-19s international during his time at Napoli, but no concrete offer was tabled for the playmaker.
