Everton 'interested in Kurt Zouma'

Everton will reportedly attempt to bolster their defensive options by signing Chelsea centre-back Kurt Zouma.

The Toffees have two centre-backs - Michael Keane and Phil Jagielka - available for their opening Premier League tie, following Mason Holgate's injury in pre-season and the departures of Ashley Williams Ramiro Funes Mori.

According to The Mirror, Marco Silva is desperate to sign reinforcements before Thursday and is interested in taking Zouma on loan from Stamford Bridge.

The 23-year-old, who was sent out to Stoke City last season, could be set for another spell away from West London, with Silva growing increasingly concerned over his lack of options at the back.

France international Zouma has won two Premier League titles with Chelsea since signing from Saint-Etienne in 2014.
