Roberto Martinez eager for Everton to end season on a high

Everton boss Roberto Martinez believes that his side will need to win each of their final three games if they are to finish in the Premier League's top 10.

Roberto Martinez has targeted a top-10 finish in the Premier League in order for Everton to end the season on a positive note.

The Toffees struggled for form in the first half of the campaign, but since crashing out of the Europa League at the last-16 stage they have enjoyed an upturn in fortunes domestically.

Having taken 16 points from the last 21 on offer, Martinez wants to see his side close out the campaign with three wins on the bounce.

"I still see that the next nine points are important in order to achieve a top-10 finish," he told reporters.

"In the last seven games it looked out of reach so from my point of view it's trying to get that top 10 and the next three games are shaping up the squad for the next campaign."

Everton take on Sunderland, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur in their final three games.
