Hull City manager Steve Bruce has said that he left his half-time team talk to his captain Curtis Davies during his side's 5-3 FA Cup semi-final victory over Sheffield United this afternoon.
The Premier League side trailed 2-1 at the break, but Bruce told Sky Sports that he "just had a cup of tea", as Davies was the man who fired up the Tigers.
"I didn't say much at half-time," said Bruce. "My captain did it all.
"It's a long time since I've been in a dressing room where the captain takes over. It used to happen a lot in my day.
"I just had a cup of tea and let him get on with it. He is a bit of a dying breed with the way football is nowadays."
Second-half goals from Matty Fryatt, Tom Huddlestone, Stephen Quinn and David Meyler saw Hull through to the final, where they will face Arsenal on May 17.
