Diego Maradona names Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp as favourite manager

Argentina legend Diego Maradona names Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp as the manager he is most impressed by in world football.

Argentina legend Diego Maradona has named Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp as the manager he is most impressed by in world football.

Klopp recently celebrated a year in charge of the Anfield outfit, during which time he has steered them to two cup finals and seen them make a promising start to the new campaign.

Maradona is most impressed by the German's attacking philosophy, though, choosing the former Borussia Dortmund boss ahead of the likes of Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola as the best manager in football.

When asked by Marca which manager has impressed him most, Maradona said: "Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

"I love what he conveys. He's the type that gives me confidence - before at Borussia Dortmund and now in the Premier League. Klopp is always going forward."

Klopp's next match in charge of the Reds sees them take on Manchester United at Anfield on Monday night.
