Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum insists that he has "no news" on his Anfield future amid growing speculation surrounding a move to Barcelona.

Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has affirmed that there are no further updates on his future at Anfield.

The 30-year-old is rumoured to have already signed a pre-contract deal with Barcelona, but both the Blaugrana and Liverpool supposedly have no knowledge of such an agreement.

Nevertheless, with his contract up in the summer, Liverpool have reportedly accepted that their midfield lynchpin will be moving on, although the player has insisted that there are no further developments on his situation.

Speaking to Dutch TV station NOS, Wijnaldum said: "You will always talk about those things and about my future. But as I have said on other occasions, I have no news yet.

"When there is news, I will talk about it, but there is no news. Now, I am here to talk about the games against Turkey, Latvia and Gibraltar."

With Wijnaldum's expected exit inching ever closer, the Reds have been linked with a shock swoop for Juventus' Aaron Ramsey as a potential replacement for the Dutchman.
