Lorient's Ligue 1 relegation worries worsened as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat at home to Toulouse this evening.

Martin Braithwaite netted the winner for the visitors before the half-hour mark to send Toulouse three points clear of the drop zone in France's top division.

A late scuffle between both sets of players saw Jacques Francois Moubanje sent off for Toulouse, but they managed to survive the final 10 minutes with a man short to claim an important three points in their survival bid.

Elsewhere in the league, AS Monaco were held to a 1-1 draw with Rennes, while Lorients's relegation rivals Bastia slipped to a 2-1 defeat.
