Manchester United 'line up shock Raheem Sterling bid'

Manchester United become the latest side to be linked with a move for Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling, with a £50m bid said to be on the table.

Manchester United are reportedly ready to make a move for unsettled Liverpool star Raheem Sterling in a deal worth £50m.

The England international looks likely to leave Anfield this summer after admitting earlier this week that he had rejected a bumper new deal at the club.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have all previously been linked with the 20-year-old, and according to The Sun the list of potential suitors for Sterling continues to grow, with arch-rivals United the latest to show an interest.

Publicly, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has previously declared that he does not intend to let the youngster leave this summer, while reports emerged yesterday suggesting that Sterling will in fact be allowed to move on should a bid of £50m be made.
