Julio Baptista: "Sevilla have to play perfectly"

Former Brazil international Julio Baptista looks ahead to Tuesday's European Super Cup between two of his former teams - Real Madrid and Sevilla.

Former Brazil international Julio Baptista believes that Sevilla need to play 'the perfect game' to beat Real Madrid in the European Super Cup on Tuesday.

Sevilla won the Europa League last season, while Madrid won the Champions League to set up an all-Spanish affair in Wales.

"Madrid have a strong squad and they're favourites, although Sevilla managed to have a spectacular year," Baptista is quoted as saying by Marca.

"I hope it continues in this game and we see good football. Sevilla have to play perfectly, with no errors. They must make an awesome game to win and that's how it always was, even when I was there.

"We knew we had a team with great players and the only way to beat a team like Madrid was to play at the limit, 100%, and not do anything wrong."

Baptista, who currently represents Cruzeiro, played for both Sevilla and Real Madrid in the early stages of his career.
