Pep Guardiola admits it will be a big ask for Barcelona to retain La Liga after they dropped more points on the road at Osasuna.

Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has conceded that it will be difficult for his team to defend their La Liga crown following the 3-2 defeat at Osasuna.

Real Madrid play Levante at home on Sunday evening and a win for the Galácticos will open up a 10-point lead at the top of the table.

Guardiola told reporters on Friday that the title race was not over. However, following the defeat at Estadio Reyno de Navarra, he has admitted that it will be difficult to overtake Jose Mourinho's men.

"Win the title? Well, we will try to defend our Champions League crown and then attempt to negotiate each match in La Liga," said Guardiola.

"We will see what happens. But we are a significant distance behind which I guess will increase on Sunday. The league will be more difficult for us now.

"In the second half tonight we did well on this pitch but we should have done better in the first half. It was hard for us to get into this game but we have to congratulate Osasuna."

The Catalan side have dropped 16 La Liga points on their travels this season.
