Jagoba Arrasate pleased with three points

Real Sociedad boss Jagoba Arrasate says that his side "did a great job" in Monday's 1-0 win over Malaga.

Real Sociedad boss Jagoba Arrasate has admitted that his side were not at their best in Monday's 1-0 win over Malaga, but was pleased with the victory.

Carlos Vela's first-half strike secured all the points for Sociedad at La Rosaleda, with the Basque outfit now just four points from the top four with 14 matches remaining.

"We started the game well and scored a goal," he told reporters at a press conference.

"We didn't struggle a lot but when Duda entered the game, it opened up the game and forced us to regain our focus. We did a great job, but we didn't play a great game. Now we have 40 points."

Malaga, meanwhile, remain just one spot outside the drop zone on 24 points.
