Italy and Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has heaped praise on Roma striker Francesco Totti.
Buffon said that if Totti continues his current form, then he has to be included in Cesare Prandelli's squad for the World Cup.
"Francesco is an immortal player," he told LegaSerieA.it. "If he is in these conditions, with the technical skills and talent he has, he is the player that can make the difference in any situation and at any age.
"With the way he is playing now, he is proving, if he ever had to prove anything, that he has always been and continues to be a champion. It is normal to talk about him this way but it is also true that there are still 8-9 months to go before the World Cup.
"I think that if he continues like this until the end of the season, no coach, player or fan would have any doubts about him."
Buffon will surpass Fabio Cannavaro's Italy appearance record of 137 with one more cap.
