Sunderland accept misconduct charge

Sunderland admit a Football Association misconduct charge and accept a £20,000 fine for failing to control their players in a match against Everton.

Sunderland have pleaded guilty to a Football Association misconduct charge.

The Black Cats received the punishment from the governing body for failing to control their players during their clash against Everton at the Stadium of Light earlier this month.

Due to the fact that the club has opted against challenging the verdict, they have received the standard penalty of a £20,000 fine.

The Premier League match on Wearside ended in a 1-1 draw.
