Villarreal boss Marcelino has bemoaned his side's back luck following a poor run of form.
The Yellow Submarine are currently on a eight-game winless streak in all competitions, while they could only draw 0-0 at home to basement side Cordoba at the weekend.
"We expected to win, as in any game," Marcelino told AS.
"It seems that lately everything is against us. We have accumulated injuries, some of them serious. Not to win this game is one of those rare things that happens once in the league."
Villarreal's poor run of form has also seen them exit the Copa del Rey and Europa League.
